The final part of the trilogy “Bird’s Life” at my exhibition “Bird on the Windowsill” (curated by Shira Benyemini and Anat Levy) at Beit Liebling
Among other things, my father left a solid archive of his medical documents — various certificates, test results, extracts, etc. Actually, this is a kind of bureaucratic copy of his body, which has preserved in verbal (sometimes in graphic) form his heartbeat, blood pressure, and the level of various substances in the body.
Therefore, this performance is a kind of spiritualistic seance. I call my father’s body with my voice to say goodbye to him. I’m reading these documents out loudly. Then I am tearing it up, taking it to the sea and releasing it into the water.
